Kyoko would like to thank everyone who came and supported the Coosees store and the patchwork animal adoption event on Nov 23. It was a beautiful Autumn day and the Coosees store was held in the grounds of the Kishibojin Shrine. Above us were layers of buttery coloured fan-shaped leaves of Ginkgo trees against a backdrop of blue sky. The market was filled with busy craft hunters, the hustle and bustle was only interrupted when a naughty crow was hopping about the branches of trees above our store causing a sudden attack of smelly Gingko nuts!

コーシーズのお店に来ていただいた方、パッチワークアニマルを引き取っていただいた方、本当に有難うございました。鬼子母神でコーシーズ・ストアを開いた11月23日は、気持ちの良い秋の一日で、上空を見上げると、青空を背景に、扇の形をした銀杏の葉っぱが何層にも重なっていました。手創り市は盛況で、喧騒に満ちていました ---いたずら好きなカラスがお店の上から匂いが強い銀杏の実を突然落としたきた時を除いて、、。

Kyoko found some abandoned owls on her way to the Kishibojin Shrine , so she invited them to join the adoption event at the market and managed to re-home all of them!

キョーコは鬼子母神に向かう途中、捨てられていた何匹かのフクロウを見つけました。キョーコは彼らを手創り市の里親探しに連れて行き、彼ら全員の里親を見つけることが出来ました。

Besides hosting the adoption event, Kyoko was also showing off some of her precious thimbles at the store. Look! She was feeling so at home that she treated the Coosees store like her own living room!

里親探しとは別に、キョーコはお店で自分の素敵な指貫を見せびらかしていました。ほら、リラックスしてるキョーコを見てください。コーシーズのお店で、まるで彼女のリビングにいるようにくつろいでいます。

Take a look at Eccomin and Omori-san's displays. They were really popular amongst the market goers, and Omori-san's paper weights, pot and pan mittens were such a hit that they were all sold out before the end of the day!

Eccomin、それからもりじおさんの様子をちょっと見てみましょう。彼らは手創り市のお客さんから大変好評で、もりじおさんの"おもり"、"なべやかんつかみ"は大ヒット、お店を閉める前に売り切れてしまいました。

The other popular items were Eccomin's crocheted cup and pot coasters.

Eccominが編んだカップやポット用のコースターも大人気です。

All the coasters were lined with different patterened fabrics. Her knitted hair bands also performed well.

コースターは、それぞれ異なったパターンの生地を使っています。ニット・ヘアバンドも良く売れていました。

The Coosees are planning to hold their market store twice a year , the next one is scheduled to be held in Spring! Thank you and see you all again next year!

コーシーズは、年2回の出店を予定しています。次回は来年の春。皆様、有難うございました。また来年お会いしましょう。

Coosees@Kishimojin Craft Market Nov 23 コーシーズ＠鬼子母神手創り市 11月23日

Kyoko and her foster pets are out for a long walk. The Scottish Terriers love long walks and they are always pulling on the leads, so it is never easy to take them all out togehter! They are good and friendly though, all they need is to attend a few more training lessons, and then they are ready to be re-homed!

キョーコは、世話しているペットと一緒に、散歩に出かけました。スコティッシュテリアは長時間の散歩が大好き。いつもリードを引っ張るので、全部の犬をまとめるのがとても大変です。どの犬も行儀が良く、友好的ですが、新しい家で飼ってもらうためにはもう少し訓練が必要です。

What is there at the back? Kyoko's left hand is holding on to a long, long lead, and a strange creature is attached to the end of it!

後ろにいるのは何？　キョーコが掴んでいる長い長いリード先には、ちょっと変わった生き物が繋がれています。

Look closer and it turns out to be a snail!

Kyoko and her foster pets are walking all the way to the Kishinmojin Craft market in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. They are going to join the Coosees. The Coosees consists of three animal and craft lovers, they are going to sell their handcrafted goodies at the craft market on November 23. Kyoko will be hosting a patchwork animals adoption event at the Coosees Craft Stall. 20% of the proceeds after costs will be donated to Animal Refuge Kansai, the non-profit organization also known as ARK. Please come along!

キョーコとペットは、鬼子母神で行われる手創り市に向かっているのです。そこで、コーシーズに参加します。コーシーズは、3人の動物好き＆クラフト好きの集まりで、11月23日の手創り市でお店を開きます。そのお店で、キョーコはパッチワークで作った動物の里親会を開くのです。経費を除いた売上の20%は、NPO団体、アニマルレフュージ関西（ARK）に寄付されます。ぜひ来てください！

Erio & Eccomin Knit Exhibition

Kyoko went to see Erio & Eccomin "Do you need knit?" exhibition at the Athle Gallery in Yokohama yesterday afternoon. Erio and Eccomin are two knitwear and accessory brands by two very talented knitwear designers.

昨日の午後、Kyokoは、横浜のAthleギャラリーで行われているErio & Eccominの"Do you need Knit?"展示会を見に行きました。Erio、Eccominは、どちらも才能豊かなニットデザイナーによる服・アクセサリーのブランドです。

This piece is by Eccomin, she loves working with natural yarns and colours. Look at the texture of this, I love the piled pompoms and crocheted motifs and I wish I could have my entire wall covered by them! Of course I couldn't afford to have that done so I bought a brooch and a textured Christmas card as a reminder of her work.

これはEccominの作品。彼女は天然の毛糸・色を好んで使います。この質感を見てください。積み重なったたポンポン、かぎ針編みのモチーフは私のお気に入り。部屋の壁を埋め尽くしたい！

I kept fiddling with the brooch while eating my lunch and I suddenly realised something....

ランチを食べている間、ブローチをいじっていたのですが、突然あることに気づきました。

.........that the brooch was inspired by the black sesame bread! (Is that right Eccomin-san? Just a wild guess! :P)

このブローチ、黒ゴマから閃いたんですよね、Eccominさん？とっぴな考えかしら？

Eccomin produces a charitable Christmas card every year, 20% of the proceeds would be donated to a designated charity.

毎年、Eccominはチャリティ用のクリスマスカードを作り、売上の20%を決まった団体に寄付しています。

小さなラグラグみたいです。

Eccomin and I are friends, but it was my first time to meet Erio-san, I was shy to ask if I could take pictures of her work, but she was kind enough to let me take a picture of what she was wearing, she made that herself! She loves using glittering yarns in her work, my photo can't show you how unique her work is, but some of her knitted pieces are available in the Omotesando branch of H.P.France in Tokyo, that means something!

Eccominと私は友達で、Erioさんとは今回が初めてでした。作品を撮らせていただけるか、尋ねるのにちょっと勇気が必要でしたが、彼女は快くOKしてくれて、着ているものを撮らせていただきました。これ、彼女の自作です！彼女はキラキラした毛糸を使うのが好きです。私の写真では、作品のユニークさが伝えるのが難しいのですが、表参道のアシュペーフランスで販売されているほどの実力です。

The Moon Festival 月見

How I love the Moon Festival! This year's Moon Festival falls on the 3rd October, which is the 15th day of the eighth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. It's also Kyoko's favourite festival, that no matter how busy she is, she'll always have some of her favourite lanterns displayed in the garden, she loves starring at them while sipping tea and eating mooncakes. The star fruit lantern is her all time favourite, and this year a brand new rabbit lantern on wheels is also on displayed. Though it has been rainy the entire week but the sky has become crystal clear on the night of of Moon Festival, see how the moon is brighter than Kyoko's brightly lit lanterns?

大好きな中秋節！中秋節は旧暦の8月15日で、今年は10月3日。Kyokoはどんなに忙しくても庭にお気に入りのランタンを飾り、お茶とムーンケーキを楽しみながらランタンを眺めます。スターフルーツのランタンが昔からのお気に入りで、今年は車輪が付いた新しいウサギのランタンも加わりました。ここのところずっと雨でしたが、中秋節の夜は空が澄み切り、Kyokoのランタンよりも明るい月明かりの夜でした。
